Shopify B2B //

// Wholesale

Shopify B2B orders that landin Cin7 priced, allocated, and ready to invoice

Your wholesale buyers log in, see their own catalog, and order on Net 30. Then the order reaches Cin7 under the wrong customer, at the wrong price tier, or not at all.

Fiskal maps Shopify B2B to Cin7 Core so operations and finance work from the same order.

02 // The reality gap

The connection is live. The wholesale orders still need a person.

Most inventory businesses add Shopify B2B and assume the Cin7 connection covers it. Orders arrive, so the job looks finished.

Look closer. A B2B order carries a company, a buying contact, a location, a negotiated price, and payment terms. The standard connection treats an order as a checkout. Each of those five details needs a deliberate home in Cin7, and in most setups nobody assigned one.

  • What the team believesOrders are syncing, so B2B works.

What is happening in the systemOrders are arriving. Whether they carry the right customer, price tier, and terms is a mapping question.

  • What the team believesThe buyer’s catalog sets the price.

What is happening in the systemCin7 assigns a price tier to each imported order from the connection settings. A negotiated Shopify catalog does not change that on its own.

  • What the team believesWe fix the odd order by hand.

What is happening in the systemManual corrections hide the mapping problem, and they slow every month end reconciliation.

  • What the team believesShopify shows stock, so buyers see the truth.

What is happening in the systemCin7 Core pushes stock levels to Shopify. Buyers see availability as of the last push.

03 // Where orders drift

Six places a Shopify B2B order drifts from Cin7

Each setting below is documented by Shopify or Cin7. How the settings interact inside your business is not, and that is where the drift starts.

  • Company or contact

Cin7 Core can create the sale against the Shopify customer or against the Shopify Company. When the company option is off, a company with several buyers can end up as several customers in Cin7, with aging and order history split between them.

    The fix

    Company to customer mapping

  • Price tier

Cin7 Core holds up to 10 price tiers. An imported order takes its tier from a setting in the connection. Shopify catalogs and Cin7 tiers need one design, owned by one system.

    The fix

    Price tier and catalog design

  • Draft orders

Sales reps often build wholesale orders as draft orders in the Shopify admin. Cin7 Core treats those as their own channel order type, so they need their own handling.

    The fix

    Order type rules

  • Capture timing

Cin7 Core captures orders when they are created, paid, or fulfilled. A Net 30 order is unpaid when it is placed. With capture set to paid, it waits.

    The fix

    Capture and status rules

  • Stock updates

Stock levels travel from Cin7 Core to Shopify. Wholesale buyers see the last pushed number, which matters most on fast moving SKUs and across several warehouses.

    The fix

    Stock update rules

  • Plan limits

Since April 2, 2026, Shopify B2B is available on Basic, Grow, and Advanced as well as Plus. Plans below Plus get up to 3 active B2B catalogs, assigned through Markets. Plus has unlimited catalogs and can assign them to a specific company location.

    The fix

    Catalog structure

05 // Cause and consequence

What the order screen hides, the balance sheet shows

The difference shows up in reconciliation. The cause sits in a connection setting.

Workflow to financials
  • In the workflow

    Orders split across contact records

    In the financials

Accounts receivable aging reads wrong, and credit decisions rest on partial history.

  • In the workflow

Wrong price tier on the order

    In the financials

Invoice disputes, and margin by customer that does not match the deal that was signed.

  • In the workflow

Net terms orders held back at capture

    In the financials

Revenue and receivables arrive late, so cash forecasts start from a stale number.

  • In the workflow

    Stock lag between systems

    In the financials

Oversold lines, backorders, and manual adjustments that touch inventory value and COGS.

  • In the workflow

Fixes made by hand at month end

    In the financials

Clearing and reconciliation differences nobody can trace to a source.

06 // What it costs leadership

Wholesale is growing. The data behind it has to hold.

Wholesale orders come with negotiated prices and payment terms. That makes each one a credit decision and a margin decision.

When Shopify B2B and Cin7 disagree, you lose sight of margin by account. Receivables stop being reliable. The warehouse stops trusting the stock count.

Selling more wholesale only multiplies each of those.

07 // What Fiskal does

Audit the flow, align the mapping, govern the changes

Fiskal works across Cin7 Core, Shopify, QuickBooks, and Xero, because an order is not finished until it reaches the books.

  • Audit

We trace one order of each type, web checkout, draft order, Net terms order, and multi location order, from Shopify through Cin7 to your accounting system. Every mismatch is logged against the setting that caused it.

  • Align

We set the company to customer rule, the price tier design, capture timing, order types, and stock update rules. Then we test them against your live order patterns. We also check that your Shopify plan fits your catalog design.

  • Govern

Naming rules, a change policy for price lists and catalogs, and sync checks that someone owns. The setup stays accurate after go live because the discipline has an owner.

Fiskal does not move to the next phase until the data in the current one is sound.

We also work with the people who place orders, because a rule nobody follows is not a rule.

09 // Questions

Shopify B2B and Cin7, answered

Do I need Shopify Plus to use Shopify B2B with Cin7?

No. Since April 2, 2026, company profiles, up to 3 catalogs, volume pricing, quantity rules, and payment terms are available on Basic, Grow, and Advanced. Plus adds unlimited catalogs and direct catalog assignment to companies and locations. The plan you are on changes how many catalog structures Shopify can hold, which shapes how you split pricing between Shopify and Cin7.

Do Shopify B2B orders sync to Cin7 Core?

Yes, orders import into Cin7 Core. The customer, price tier, order type, and status they carry depend on the connection settings, including whether Cin7 uses the Shopify Company as the customer. Setup decides whether they arrive usable.

Where should wholesale prices live, Shopify or Cin7?

Cin7 Core holds up to 10 price tiers and publishes prices to Shopify from one tier. Shopify B2B catalogs can then adjust pricing per buyer, within the limits of your plan. Pick one system to own the pricing logic, and write the rule down.
